siGit Code Cloud is live

siGit Code runs on your own machine. That’s the default and it’s the point: the model does its inference locally, works against your local repos, and sends nothing to a server. For most work, that’s what you want.

Sometimes it isn’t. Your laptop only has so much to give, and some tasks want a bigger model than you’d run locally. That’s what siGit Code Cloud is for, and it’s available now.

What it is

The same agent you already know, with inference running on our servers instead of yours. You sign in, pick a quality tier, and chat. Conversations are saved, so a thread you started yesterday is still there when you come back to it.

That’s the whole pitch. It isn’t a different product with a different mental model. It’s siGit Code with the heavy compute moved off your machine when you ask for it.

When to reach for it

Use the local agent for the everyday work where you’d rather keep your code on your own hardware. Switch to Cloud when you want more capability than a laptop wants to run, or when you’re on a machine that can’t host a model comfortably. Nothing forces the choice on you. Local stays the default, and Cloud is there when you opt in.

What’s next

The step after this is an agent you hand a task to and then ignore, one that opens a pull request for you to review. We’re not going to oversell it before it’s real. For now, the hosted chat is ready to use.
